Richard L. Robertson, 82, of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born on Monday, September 8, 1941, to Alfred Z. and Jewell Robertson (Dickey).

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Al Robertson, Billy Robertson, and Coy (Tiny) Robertson; two sisters, Rosemary I. Robertson and Christine Holder.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Verla of the home and his children, Richard Robertson Jr., Carl E. Robertson, Rodney E. Robertson, Rosemary L. Robertson, Robin Hvitved, Donald A. Robertson, William Seelye, Coral Hubbard, and Ramon Seelye; one brother, James Robertson and a sister, Betty Maples-Fuller; 22 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Richard retired from the United States Army after serving over 20 years. He is deeply loved and respected. We will miss him and cherish the memories we shared.

A short memorial service with full military honors will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery 5201 S. Southwood Rd Springfield, Mo 65804.
