Rick Baldwin, 67 passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2021 in Springfield, MO after a long and arduous illness. He was born to James (Junior) and Velma Baldwin in Springfield, MO on September 14, 1953.

Rick spent his early years working as an auto mechanic, but his longest and most notable occupation was at Springfield Remanufactoring (SRC). There he worked in various capacities, ending his career as a supervisor.

As a young adult Rick spent weekends at the lake camping and skiing. Over the years he loved Sunday drives to the countryside, which lead to owning multiple properties that he called home. He enjoyed building up the land, mending fences, building barns, and most importantly being surrounded by a menagerie of farm animals; including dogs, cats, and many horses.

He enjoyed the simple pleasure of horseback riding and would occasionally ride his horse to the convenince store,  which had no choice but to install a hitch'n post for his horse.

Rick is preceeded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Sederburg (Robert),  granddaughter Addie Sederburg, brother Norman (Cindy) Baldwin and stepsister Karen Ellis.

His work ethic, love for animals, and love of the country life lives on in his daughter. May he rest in peace.

Gravesite service will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 5234 West State Hwy EE (West Division) Springfield, MO 65802.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to the Southwest Humane Society
