Richard Lee Craig, 68, of Nixa, MO departed his life on the morning of Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was the son of Claude Raymond Craig and Dorothy Adele Craig (Moore) and was born in Batesville, AR on Sunday, July 10, 1949.
Richard was a profound, strong and caring man. He found his love in faith in the lord and his wife. Richard loved music, fishing, hard work, the beauty of nature, and being a member of the American Legion Post #639. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and worked for Kraft Foods Inc. for over 40 years.
Richard was preceded in death in by his wife Kathryn Craig of 40 years, his parents and a brother.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Craig, his son Danny Aaron O''Neal (wife Carolyn), three grandchildren, Wesley, Alex and Benjamin O''Neal and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, from 1-2pm with funeral services to follow at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802. Military honors and entombment will take place at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Legion post #639, 2660 S.
