Rhonda Jean (Mustain) Upton passed peacefully from this world September 27th,2022 in her home after a long illness. Rhonda was born on August 27th,1958 in Lawrence KS to the proud parents of Donald L and Bonnie M (Enlow) Mustain. She was married to David D. Upton the love of her life on October 6, 1984. David preceded her in death May 9, 2014.

Rhonda had a long successful career in retail beginning in clothing and moving on to jewelry sales. She was both in management and sales. To say she was good at her job would be an understatement. She received several awards and earned numerous trips for all of her hard work and dedication.

For those of you that knew Rhonda she was a bright light, always kind, caring and positive; even when things weren't so easy. She could find joy in the smallest things, sitting outside on her chaise, playing with the dogs or simply enjoying a cup of coffee. She was never one to complain about the cards she had been dealt. We will miss her terribly but know she is in a better place surrounded by family, able to breathe easy, move without pain and sing at the top of her lungs.

Rhonda left behind many people who loved her. Sisters Debbie (Ron) Carr and Sheila Mustain both of Springfield, MO; nieces April (Alan) Cox of Springfield, MO, Amber (Hutch) Cross Pleasant Hope, MO and Brandy Carr of Crane MO; and several Great and Great-Great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents Don and Bonnie Mustain; stepmother Ruth Mustain, husband David Upton and nephew Dalton Cross.

In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to St Jude's Children's Hospital or 4 The Love of K9s. Any pet rescue would be wonderful. Both of these were close to Rhonda's heart.

Celebration of life is October 16th at 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at The Savoy Ballroom 224 E Commercial St Springfield Mo. Cake and coffee reception to follow.
