Kenneth LaVerne Krivohlavek, (aka Brother K), 80, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away on June 2, 2015, in his home surrounded by family. A Memorial Service will be held at Antioch Church in Overland Park, Kansas, on Friday, June 5th with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am. Funeral service will be held at Battlefield Assembly of God, in Battlefield, Missouri, on Saturday, June 6th, Visitation at 2:00 pm followed by Funeral at 3:00 pm with Pastor Adam Smith of Southhills, Venue 2, Corona, California officiating. Burial/Interment will follow at Rivermont in Springfield, Missouri. Klinger-Cope Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
Ken or Kenny, as he was fondly called, was born in Schuyler, Nebraska to Frank and Nora Krivohlavek on October, 15, 1934. He earned a Bachelor''s degree in Bible at Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Missouri. He served as a Pastor, Evangelist and later as a Missionary to the Philippines, all with the Assemblies of God as an Ordained Minister for over 50 years.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Geneva and one grandson. Ken is survived by his wife of the home, Lorraine; daughter, Joy Smith, Arizona; son, Steve and Karen Kaay, Philippines, Dara and Mike Glinter, Florida; Sandy Motes, Kansas; Kevin Slavens, Oklahoma; Brother , Lloyd Krivohlavek; sisters, Elsie Anderson and Norma Mihulka; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
