October 25, 1928 – December 15, 2020
Ray Morris was born in Sweetwater, Texas in 1928. At the age of 10 he received Christ as his savior. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1949-1952 at Fort Hood, Texas. After the army he relocated to Springfield, Missouri to attend Baptist Bible College and attended High Street Baptist Church where he met his future bride. He married Judy Beam on November 23, 1957 and the two of them celebrated over 63 years of marriage.
He is survived by his loving wife, three children; Mike Morris and his wife Bertie, Scott Morris and his wife Sheryll, and a daughter Ginny Morris. He was blessed with four grandchildren which included Austin Wells who was raised in their home, and two great grandchildren. He was a proud member of Baptist Temple for over forty years and would move mountains to never miss a service.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:00 am at Klingner Cope at White Chapel Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
