Rachel Lucille McShane was born on August 25, 1926 at Ava, Missouri. She was the daughter of Asie and Mary Mandana Wilson. She was the baby of ten childern, all have preceded her in death.

When she was twelve years old, she started coming to Springfield and taking jobs in various homes doing housework so she could buy herself a new dress or a pair of shoes. Her dearest friend was Melba Cllements of Ava. They did everything from walk the beams of Melba's father's barn, to going down a stack of hay on a wagon when they were little girls.

Rachel met and married George Campbell Jr on November 4, 1947. To this union, two children were born Clyde Lee Campbell, wife Diane and grandson Aaron all of San Jose, Calif., and a daughter Janice Kay Reel , husband Daniel of Nixa, Mo., one grandson Bradley Reel, wife Toni and two great grandchildren Peyton and Phoebe who were the apples of her eyes, all of St. Louis Mo.

Rachel and George dissolved their marriage and she later married Bernie McShane in Omaha, Neb. When he retired, they moved to Springfield, Mo.

Rachel was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was always ready to have anyone to visit her in her home. She always had a pie or cake baked and a cup of coffee to offer.

She was a very colorful person and those that knew her will miss her.
