Phillip A. Turner, 20 of Springfield, was born on October 30, 1995 to Fran Day and Stephen Turner. He entered into Heaven on August 2, 2016.
He was a very special young man in many ways. He was smart, witty, a loyal friend, a wonderful son and grandson. He loved to play games with his friends and teasing his grandpa about being a brownie thief. He would always say "make the brownies mimi."
Phillip graduated from Parkview High School in 2016. He made friends with everyone he met, from kids he met at school to Dr''s, nurse''s and grownups. He made lasting impressions on everyone. He battled with Cystic Fibrosis all his young life, never complaining, always with a smile, always concerned about others before himself. He put on a brave face around his family and friends.
Phillip accepted Jesus in his heart at the age of 9. He said "I''ve seen Jesus, we''ve had our talk and I know where I''m going when I die," this was such a blessing to his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Fran and Marc Breedlove; father, Stephen Turner; 4 brothers, Andy Turner of FL, Daniel Turner of Branson, Timothy Turner of Clever and Jared Turner of Springfield; sister, Nicole Turner of Springfield; grandparents, James and Glenda Dugan of Springfield and a host of nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was loved by many and will sadly be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margie Turner. He held a special love for his mimi.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hillside Baptist Church, 8366 Missouri 266 (Chestnut Expy), Springfield, with service to follow at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
