Phillip Wayne Palmer, 88, of Springfield, MO passed away at Woodland Manor on Monday, December 9, 2024. On Saturday, July 25, 1936 John Palmer and Gertrude Long welcomed him into their family circle that included 10 siblings Charles, Helen, Robert, Walter, Roscoe, Ed, Mary, Shirley, John and Bill.
Phillip attended Rogersville schools where he enjoyed softball programs. He also played and coached company and church teams. Phillips favorite pastime was fishing, especially at Stockton Lake. He also watched the Cardinals and the Chiefs, faithfully. Phillip and Norma Loretta Perryman were united in marriage on November 2, 1957 and to this union, one daughter was born. He was employed by the Ash Grove Cement Company for 43 years and for most of that time, worked in their electrical department.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, one daughter Ramona Gail Palmer and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804 with funeral services to follow at 2 PM. Online condolences can be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com
