Pernie M. Adams, 86 was born in Ava, MO on December 27, 1929 to Mackey and Mabel Hathcock and passed away July 21, 2016 at home in Strafford.
Pernie owned and operated Adams Upholstery for over 40 years, was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church for over 50 years where she was affectionately known as "The Pie Lady".
She was preceded her in death by her husband Arlewis Adams, 1 son Douglas, parents, and 2 brothers Martin and Willard Hathcock.
She is survived by son Dennis Adams, sister Wilma Mielke, brothers Trellis and Roy (Clifton) Hathcock, numerous nieces, nephews and was loved by all.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. St. Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Service will be Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Family is requesting memorial donations to St. Jude''s Children Research Hospital.
