IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Peggy Ann
Pringle
March 7, 1940 – July 24, 2021
The world became a sweeter place on March 7, 1940, when Peggy was born at the City Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, 11 years later she was reborn and accepted the gift of salvation at the NW Baptist Church revival. She was a kind and gentle young woman who fell for her love, Donald Pringle, at 16 years old. Three years later, they were married in her parent's living room and together raised three children in Springfield, Missouri.Peggy graduated from Central High School in 1958. Her first job was a carhop at A&W. She went on to work for a time at O'Rielly Automotive and spent many years as a home maker. After their children were grown, she brightened the days of guests at Surplus City.
Anyone who spent time with her knew that she was a kind and loving soul who loved playing the organ at church, taking drives in her 1976 maroon corvette, adding to her extensive Coca-Cola collection, and laughingly saying "Oh, Don." at her husband's corny jokes. To her family, she was a rock that could wash the worries of the world away with a gentle hug. To many outside her family, she was known as a doting and patient piano teacher. Her kitchen was welcoming, and she was always willing to lend a listening ear. With a graceful style that seemed effortless, her quiet faith and gentleness was a mustard seed that moved mountains.
On July 24, 2021, in the same room where she spent countless hours celebrating the joys of her beloved family and watching her favorite Hallmark movies and Wheel of Fortune, she took her final breath and met her Savior while surrounded by her children.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Don Pringle; mother, Iva Mae Heitner; father, John Ross White; brother, Bill White; and two sisters: Jewell Sechler and Lorene Bouldin. She is survived by her three children: Gary (Brenda) Pringle, Mike (Sarah) Pringle, Donna (Wallace) Ray; 5 grandchildren: Tabitha (Michael) Mohler, Leisa Flynn, Derek (Elizabeth) Sparks, Chad (Angela) Pringle, Jazmin (Joey) Thorsen; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
