Paul David McConnell, 76, was born on Thursday, May 22, 1941 in Oceola, Missouri to Paul and Juanita (Fox) McConnell. He passed away at home with his wife and son by his side on Saturday, August 26, 2017.

Paul grew up on a dairy farm near Republic and graduated from Republic High School where he played basketball and ran track. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served four years in San Antonio, TX.

Paul married Patricia Wade in the summer of 1960 and of their union a daughter, Jody. He married Barbara Daniels November 10, 1967 and of their union two sons, Greg and Bradley. Paul married Camille Baker on July 3, 1995.

In 1966 Paul started working in sales at Harry Cooper Supply Company in Springfield, Missouri and retired in 2004. Paul and Camille enjoyed fishing, traveling, their children, grandchildren and wonderful Christmas parties with their entire family. He had a tender heart and fantastic sense of humor. Paul David McConnell definitely embodied the phrase, "he never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Paul is survived by his wife Camille of the home, brother Richard (wife Tina) of Wishart, MO, one daughter Jody and Dolph Woodman of Republic, MO, two sons Greg (wife Misty) of Springfield, MO and Bradley (wife Charity) of Grapevine, TX, eight grandchildren Joshua, Charity, and Gabriel Woodman, Suzanne, Austin, and Lily McConnell and Bronson and Landry McConnell and eight great-grandchildren

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 1-2pm with funeral services and military honors to follow at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804. Burial will take place at the Rivermonte Memorial Gardens following cremation.
