Obituary

Paul David Blaylock was born in Springfield, Missouri, November 9, 1963, to Paul Marion and Doris Jean Blaylock. He lived in Springfield his entire life. David graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1982. He attended Southwest Missouri State.

David met his partner in crime, Joyce Reedy, in 1991. They have been together ever since! In 2021, David and Joyce finally decided to make it legal, in a fun ceremony, in their backyard during a thunderstorm! As with all their parties, a good time was had by all!

David worked a variety of jobs, until he found his true calling with IWX. In 2018 David accomplished the milestone of 3,000,000 Safety Miles and continued driving until he was unable to due to the progression of his cancer. He loved Over the Road Truck Driving as much as he loved coming home to Joyce.

David was involved in many activities. He participated in a continuous D & D game from the time he was in high school. During gaming, ideas for Visioncon began to develop and then became a reality. As part of Visioncon, MOJO, MOJO Dave, the MOJO Brothers and The Holy Order of the Knights of MOJO grew into existence. A toast: "QUICK! Before it eats through the cup!"

David, besides his Fandom, also enjoyed hanging out with friends at Just For Him, the quiet of fishing with his granddaughter, BOAT DRINKS, backyard parties, and even a few mundane friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, Paul Marion Blaylock, and a sister, Dianne Elaine (Blaylock) Gardner.

David is survived by his wife, Joyce Reedy, his mother, Doris Jean (Neese) Blaylock, his sister Marsha Lynne Blaylock, and his brother J.W. Blaylock. He is also survived by more of his loving family Jorena and Matthew Siegmann, and the joy and twinkle in his eye, his one and only Snickerdoddle, his granddaughter, Nellie Rose Seigmann.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO. Please dress casual/comfortable and be ready to celebrate David.
