Pamela Rae Cole, age 62, passed away September 15, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family at her home in Springfield.
Pam was born November 29, 1953 in Kirksville MO. She was the daughter of Harold Scott and Gertie Lefman. She was the Step daughter of Tolsen Lee Goosey. Pam married Michael Cole on Dec 2, 1972 in Kansas City MO.
She graduated from Van Horn High School, Independence MO, in 1971. Pam worked various jobs until she started at Fantastic Caverns in Springfield Mo. She loved working in the cave and taking pictures there for the past 24 years.
Pam enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her flowerbeds, going floating on the river, and looking for treasures at antique stores with Mike. She loved animals, as long as they stayed out of the flowerbeds. Her favorite pastime was doing things with her grandsons, whether it was camping, teaching them how to cook, going to one of their special events, or watching them raid the pantry. She loved spending every minute she could with them.
She was preceded in death by her step father Lee Goosey and her brother Jerry Scott.
She is survived by her husband Mike Cole; two sons, Chris of Springfield, Jeff (Laura) of Republic; and six grandsons, Bryan, Jayce, Tristen, Andrew, Tyler and Jonathan.
The visitation will be at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel in Springfield, MO. at 1:00pm. The funeral will follow at 2:00pm, September 24, 2016. The burial will immediately follow in the White Chapel Cemetery.
