Obituary

Oliver Coleman Estes, 92, born June 11, 1919, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012.
He was known for his great faith in Christ and is a member of Evangel Temple Church. A machinist by trade with Springfield Tool and Die, Coleman served as a combat engineer in WWII. He was captured in the Battle of the Bulge and was a P.O.W. in Germany until liberated at the end of the war.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 3 brothers and his 1st wife, Margie (Smith) Estes.
He is survived by his wife, Su Estes; daughter Judy Smith and husband Ernie; son Bill Estes and wife Marcy; 3 granddaughters, Sherrie Mason and husband Bob, Kathie Overcash and Johnna McKinnis and husband Mark; numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 A.M.,Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO 65804.
