Norma I. (Megown) Walker 92 of Springfield, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015. She was born on May 8, 1923 in Renick Missouri, to Thomas and Edna Pearl (Ferguson) Hitt.

Norma moved to Springfield in 1944. After several years of working she retired from Chase National Life Insurance Company in 1983. She then spent the last 27 years residing at Jenny Lind Apartment''s playing cards, puzzles, and also preparing forms for the residents in the community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter Sue Kirwin and her husband Patrick, of Little Rock, her son Ken Megown, of Battlefield, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her cat Winston, and a host of family and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, August 24, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 West State Highway EE (Division). A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11am in the funeral home, with a burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
