Nessa Jane (Hughes) Norton Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Mercy Hospital at 102 years old. Nessa was born October 17, 1912, in Fannin County, GA. Her family moved to Missouri when she was 6 years old. Nessa was married to Joe Norton September 12, 1958, at Sunshine Baptist Church, Springfield, MO. Nessa is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, and brothers.
Visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, Springfield, MO, Saturday, August 8, 12:00 to 1:00 pm; funeral services immediately following at 1:00 pm. Interment in White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Hospice or the Greene County Baptist Association, Springfield, MO.
