Nelda J. Curry, 78 of Willard, was born on August 30, 1935 in Itasca, TX to Frances Scallorn and Andrew Crouch. She passed away on April 15, 2014 surrounded by her family.

She was married to Dr. Melvin Curry on August 31, 1956. She was an R.N. and worked with her husband for 26 years and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Nelda is survived by her husband, Dr. Melvin Curry; children, Dr. Ernest E. (Tracy) Curry of Willard, Carole (Gene) Mayes of Arlington, TX, David (Corinna) Curry of Carthage, Lisa (Eddie) McMichael of Willard and Mica (Russell) Moffett of Battlefield; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Dr. Norman Crouch.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Service will be Friday, April 18 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Minister Sheldon Williams officiating the service. Interment will be in Wesley Cemetery in Willard, MO.
