Nancy Jean Witt, age 75, of Springfield, MO, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 5, 2019 after a long battle with her health.

She was born in Oakland, CA to Raymond Houck and Lois Jean (Tarte) Houck.  She was also big sister to Carol Houck.  On April 10, 1965, she and Raymond I. Witt were married.  They had two daughters, Debra and Christine.  Raymond was in the Marine Corp, so they had opportunities to travel.  After Raymond retired, they moved to Missouri.  Raymond died in June of 1998.

During Nancy's life, she pursued many different occupations such as nurse's aide, Horse Trader owner, and small business owner.  She was involved with organizations such as Springfield Executive Women's Club, Springfield's Ostomy Family Support Group, as well as her church choir.

Nancy loved her Lord, her family, and her friends.  Her kind servant's heart didn't know any strangers.  She would do anything to help others.  She was a blessing to so many people.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lois Jean Houck as well as her husband, Raymond Witt.  She is survived by her sister Carol Houk; two daughters, Deb Horr and Christy Bateman and husband Shawn; three grandsons, Christopher Horr, Eric Horr, and Kevin Horr; two granddaughters, Taylor Bateman and husband Seth and Ronni Leigh Adams and husband Layne and great grandson Brantley.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p,m. at Second Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. All friends are welcome to share memories.
