Mollyann Marie Schwaebe Love, 81, of Springfield, Missouri, died on December 5, 2015, at home.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 27, at 4:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1500 South Campbell Ave., Springfield, 65807.
Molly was born on November 28, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri, where she lived until she married William C. Love on June 7, 1956. Molly was a Navy wife until she and Bill moved to Joplin, Missouri, in 1960. Bill died on November 24, 1969, and Molly focused her attention on raising her children and caring for her parents.
Later in life, she traveled extensively as a single, independent woman in her pick-up truck and fifth-wheel. Molly valued education and was high school valedictorian, followed by a teaching degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She pursued learning all her life, and, by the example she set, taught her family the values of honesty, practicality, independence, and a sense of humor.
In addition to her husband, Molly was preceded in death by: her brother, George F. Schwaebe, in 1953; her father, George E. Schwaebe, in 1982; and her mother, Marie H (Thieme) Schwaebe, in 1992. She is survived by: a daughter, Rosie Ingram, son-in-law Lon, and grandchildren Molly and Matthew of Topeka, Kansas; a son, Bill Love, daughter-in-law Kathy, and grandchildren Bradley, Johnathan, and Sara of Springfield; a son, Rich Love, daughter-in-law Sue, and grandchildren Nick, Meg, and Colt of St. Louis, Missouri; and an honorary daughter-in-law, Kirsten Snyder Eklund of Seattle, Washington.
Molly specifically requested no flowers (not practical) and suggested memorial donations to Asbury United Methodist Church, Springfield, where she was a member. Her family hopes you''ll honor her request because they don''t want to have to answer to her at a later date!
