Mildred Valentine Hay passed from this life to heaven on June 4, 2014. Millie was born February 14, 1919 in Neosho, Missouri. She was the sixth of ten children born to Lillie Mae (Watkins) and Wilford Olean McIlvaine. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry William Hay. Millie is survived by her sister Idave Barklund of Vsters, Sweden, her beloved daughter Linda Jones and son-in-law Larry of Springfield, MO.
Millie was an amazing mother, sister, aunt and friend.
From a very early age Millie showed her independent spirit and had the opportunity to live many different places, returning to her hometown of Neosho, MO in 1965. She has lived in Springfield, MO the last 17 years where she especially enjoyed going to Bible Study Fellowship. Many will remember her favorite words of advice: Read your Bible every day!
A private graveside service is planned and burial will be at Rivermonte Cemetery in Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Bible Study Fellowship 19001 Huebner Rd San Antonio, TX 78258 or bsfinternational.org
