Michael Ray Lowry 64 of Springfield, was born on February 2, 1957 in Maryland to Beverly Sue Jackson and Gary Lowry. He passed away on July 13, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Mike lived primarily in Kansas City/Independence, MO and Springfield, MO for most of his life. He spent his spare time being outdoors fishing, canoeing or simply taking in the world around him. He also enjoyed chess and was talented enough to be a part of championships in New York. Mike had two past marriages to Rebecca Lowry and Cindy Lowry. He fathered two children with Rebecca; David "Ben" Lowry and Renee (Lowry) Wise. Mike spent his life working hard to support himself, his family and was always a man with a respectable work ethic. He liked to laugh, have fun and was pleasant to be around. He will be remembered as a loving father and brother, helpful neighbor, good friend, and a all around good-guy who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister: Faith Michelle Lowry-Hedges.

Mike is survived by his son, David "Ben" Lowry; daughter, Renee Wise; granddaughters, Melody Howe and Thea Wise and grandson, Aaron Wise.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave, Springfield, MO.
