Michael Lee McAlister, age 48, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Michael was born August 20, 1963 in Fayetteville, AR the son of Mickey McAlister and the late H. Mike McAlister. Michael was a graduate of Kickapoo High School, Springfield, MO and employed with Summit Helicopter, Roanoke, VA. for 8 years. Currently he was employed by Custom Metalcraft in Springfield, MO.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Mickey, his two loving children Mitchael and Nacole "Coco" and his sister Chris Rehagen, her husband Brian and nephew Derek all of Springfield. He is also survived by an aunt and uncle Dr. David and Jody Martin, Omaha, AR Maureen Bacon, Springfield, MO Don and Margie Pennington, Springdale, AR; and numerous cousins and many, many friends.
Michael was a member of the Gate of the Temple Masonic Lodge #422, Springfield, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Joplin, and a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple of Springfield, MO.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel. The Scottish Rite of Burial will be administered following the visitation. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Klingner-Cope Rivermonte Chapel, with the Reverend Jamie Bilyeu, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
