With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Melissa Linn Chambers of Springfield, Mo. She was born in Springfield on March 24th,1979, and was 45 years old when she died peacefully in her sleep on August 4th, 2024.

Melissa would tell you that her greatest achievement in life was being a mother to her three daughters. She loved them dearly and was so proud of them.

Melissa was a "people person". To her a perfect day would be spent in a boat cruising the lake while swimming and sunbathing with friends and her daughters. She was always up for an adventure and made sure her daughters' lives were full of fun activities. While growing up Melissa excelled at swimming and speedskating and made many friends while participating in those sports. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1996. Melissa was living her best life at 45 with her partner Justin Wallace whom she loved dearly. Her family and friends will miss Melissa and her sweet smile Immensely.

Surviving family members include Mollie Glenn (age 19) daughter- Nixa, Mo, Paisley Andrieu (age11) daughter -Nixa, Mo. Maxwell Andrieu (age 4) daughter- Nixa, Mo, Patty Chambers- mother- Springfield, Mo. Russ & Judy Chambers- father & stepmother- Sanibel, F l.  Stephanie Chambers- sister- Springfield, Mo, Stacy Chambers- sister- Mexico, Mo. Yvette Jeffries (Joe)- sister- Mexico, Mo. Mike Ward (Susie)- uncle- Kearney, Mo. Bob Jones- uncle- Richmond, Mo. Carole Beck (Wright)- aunt- Lenexa, KS.

Melissa also leaves four cousins.

She preceded in death by grandparents, Patricia & Ira Ward of Kansas City, Mo and Dorothy and Russell Chambers of Columbia, Mo. Also preceding her death were an aunt, Sandy Jones, a cousin, Erin Reed, a cousin, Julie Beck and a stepbrother, Sean Hummer.

The family sends a special thank you to Ryan Glenn for his enduring friendship with Melissa and Christian Barnard for all his help with Melissa's funeral.

Funeral services will be held at Aldersgate Church of Nixa: 460 Aldersgate Dr., Nixa, Mo 65714 on Sat, August 10th, 2024. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. with memorial service following at 12:00 p.m.
