Mava "Irene" Nickle 92, of Springfield, MO passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 in Hollister, MO. She was born January 7, 1924 to Clifford B. and Clara Mae (Aydelott) Ellis.

Irene enjoyed traveling and gardening. During World War II she served as one of the Rosie the Riveters building B-25 bombers and also during that time she obtained a small aircraft pilots license. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Irene is survived by 3 children, Charles Ray Nickle, Miariam Irene Nickle-Dunn, and Bryan Keith Nickle; 3 grand daughters; and several great grand children; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 10 am to 11 am with a funeral service to follow at 11 am at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine Springfield, MO). A burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
