Obituary

Maude "Annis" Iorg was welcomed at Heaven''s gates by God on March 15, 201,3 where she was met by family and friends who were waiting for her.
Annis was born on June 20th, 1920, in Cedar Gap, MO to Charles and Florence Goss. She was the youngest of her brothers and sisters, and all have preceded her in death.
She was married to Arthur Iorg on May 24th, 1941, in Mansfield, MO, where they lived many years before moving to Springfield, MO. Arthur preceded her in death. To this marriage was born three children: Jim Iorg, Betty Blakeslee and husband Bill (both deceased), and Twyla Nelson and husband David. She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Annis was a very caring and giving person. She invested much of herself in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She worked for many years in the Springfield Public School district in the cafeteria where she cared for many students as her own. After that, she worked for several years at the Marion Center of St. John''s Hospital. She spent time caring for patients, taking time to listen and have conversations with them, learning about their lives. They were more than just patients to her.
Annis loved to work outside in her yard. She had a garden, did yard work, but most of all loved having flower beds. She was very particular about her yard and flowers, and it showed. She always had one of the most beautiful yards, and it not only brought great joy to her, but also to many neighbors. Many people walked by to see her yard as they knew the beauty that was displayed. It was a blessing to all who saw it.
She also had a great love for the Lord and was very active in church, including having numerous bible studies in her home during her lifetime. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church for many years and also Harmony Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on March 20th from 6:00-8:00pm at Klingner-Cope Rivermonte Funeral Home located on South Lone Pine in Springfield, MO. There will be a graveside service on March 21st at the Nancy Newton Cemetery in Mansfield, MO, starting at 10:00am.
