Mary Francis Polk was born December 5th 1938 to Harry Barlow and Grace Tatum in Bois D'Arc. She passed away at the age of 84, May 9, 2023. Mary worked many years as a cook at Boys and Girls Town (now Great Circle). While working there she touched the lives of many kids and workers.

Mary will be remembered by those who loved her for her kind heart and her love of sitting out on the porch when the weather was nice.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Ralph Polk; their son James "Snooki" Polk; her parents Grace and Harry Barlow; and one brother Jimmie Barlow.

Mary is survived by her children Cecil and Gary (Christie) Polk; her grandchildren Chris (Nikole), Crystal and Maggie Polk; 6 great grandchildren as well as her brothers Leroy and Harry Barlow and her sister Anne (Joe) Wilson.

Services to be held at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel 5234 State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802 on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 5pm-6pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Mary's honor to the Ozark Food Harvest Backpack Program or The Boys and Girls Club of Springfield, Stalnaker Unit.
