Mary "Sade" Manier, 92 of Springfield was born August 2, 1921 in to Andrew and Mary Ferguson. She went home to be with her Lord on June 7, 2014.

Mary was the matriarch of the family and provided so much love, spiritual guidance and wonderful Sunday dinners. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt and honorary mother.

Mary is survived by her niece, Tracy Taylor; great nieces, Donielle and Dashauna Taylor; great-great nieces, Jayden and Mila Taylor; great-great nephew, Dyson Taylor; cousins, Shirley (Jerry) Smothers, John (Doris) Tolliver, Jack Tolliver and Joseph Bedell; special family friends, Alice Jefferson and Brent Looney and a host of friends and family. She was preceded by her husband, "Pete" Obel Manier; parents; brother, Herman E. Ferguson; sisters, Esther (Sis) Moore and Marjorie Ferguson and nephew, Herman B. Ferguson.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff of Dr. Rosen''s office, the staff from Amedysis Home Health and Springfield Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care they provided for "Sis" and "Sade".

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 1 till 2 pm in the funeral home.
