Mary Maureen Kemper, age 83, passed away Wednesday, July 6th at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Formerly of Lake Tapawingo, Mo., she was born November 6th, 1932, in Kansas City, Ks to William and Maureen George.
She was married to Dr. Charles Samuel Kemper on September 20, 1958, who preceded her in death on Friday, November 23, 2006. They had two daughters, Kristina Kemper of Kansas City, Mo and Samantha Gautieri of Fair Grove, Mo. They also had two granddaughters, Riley and Avery Gautieri.
Mary attended Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa obtaining a Bachelor degree in Music Education. Mary taught instrumental music in several elementary schools in the Kansas City area. Mary was also the Front Office Manager for her husband''s dental practice for many years until his retirement.
Mary was an extremely selfless and giving person who cared deeply about serving others. She was an active member of P.E.O. Chapter KT, Springfield, Mo and donated her time to Meals On Wheels, serving people years younger than she was herself. Mary was also still very active in her church, Fair Grove United Methodist, in both choir and women's bible studies, being very well grounded and secure in her salvation.
Mary is survived by her two daughters Kristina Kemper and Samantha Gautieri, granddaughters, Riley and Avery Gautieri, her sister Katie Stone, brothers David George and Reginald George.

Services are Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home Midtown Chapel, 1635 N. Benton Ave., Springfield, Mo 65803, followed by a graveside service at Eastlawn Cemetery.
