Mary F. Dishman, 88, of Strafford, passed away peacefully in Strafford Care Center on Friday, June 10th, 2016. Mary was born in Greene County, MO on April 3, 1928 to Edna McGehee and Delbert Davis.
She married Wes Dishman on June 29, 1947 in Marshfield, MO, they enjoyed many years together until his passing in 1982. Mary enjoyed doing many things in life including; working at Evangel College for 5 years in food services, being President of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW in Strafford for 12 years, she loved working with crafts and set up a booth at the Fair Grove Festival for several years. Mary always had a green thumb and enjoyed planting an raising flowers, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family including her Brother in-law Jessie Dishman.
Mary is preceded in death by the love of her life Wes, her parents, 7 brothers, and 1 granddaughter Laura Dishman.
She is survived by 3 sons; John Dishman, Larry and wife Linda, and Jerry and wife Teresa, one daughter; Marimartha Kemper and husband Ronnie, 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Midtown Chapel.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10am at Midtown Chapel, with services being performed by Pastor Richard McGehee. Interment will follow at Dishman Cemetery, in Strafford, MO.
In lieu of flowers family would like donations to be made to Preferred Hospice in Springfield, MO.
