Martha Young, 76 of Springfield, was born on October 10, 1938 to Gulfa Powell and Edward Tindele. She passed away on September 14, 2015.

She married Robert Young on September 15, 1962 and they were married for 52 until his passing on October 14, 2014. She was known as the "Cake Lady" making cakes for anyone and any occasion. She liked to collect snow people, being "on the go" and spending time with her family and friends.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 5 sisters, Lucille, Audrey, Betty, Eldora and Rosie. She is survived by her son, Kevin (Joy) Young of Willard; 2 sisters, Patty Stewart and Reba (Arlie) Booker of Springfield; granddaughter, Mia; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5 till 7 pm in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Service will be on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
