Lucinda (McCoy) Hudson, age 88, daughter of Harvey and Isabell (Ramsey) McCoy was born June 20, 1925 near Success, Missouri. She passed away on June 5, 2014 at The Ozark Baptist Home, Ozark Missouri.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, James; son-in-law Danny Cannady; eight sisters, Virginia McKee, Zella Ramsey, Mary Garrett, Burniece McCoy, Pauline Roberts, Dorothy Atterberry, Bessie McCoy, Edra Bradburn, two infant sisters, and one brother Clinton McCoy. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Cannady of Springfield, Mo.; two granddaughters, Dana Havens and her husband Rich, of Fremont Hills, Mo. and Chrissy Wright, of Springfield, Mo.; one great grandson, Jared Wright, Springfield, Mo.; one step-great granddaughter, Alexis O''Reilly Havens; one brother, George McCoy of Success, Mo.; one sister, Lena Ward and her husband Roy of Success, Mo.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cindy grew up near Success, Mo. attending grade school at Dunn School. She graduated from Central (Senior) High School, Springfield, Mo., in 1945. She accepted Christ as her Savior in November, 1946 and joined the South Side Baptist Church by baptism in the river. There she taught Sunday school and enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School. Cindy, along with her husband Jim, also served as a proud member of N.A.R.V.E. - National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees for over 25 years.
Cindy loved getting dressed up and "going to town", as she would call it, and never wanted to miss a party! She enjoyed going to church to worship and fellowship with friends and family. Cindy never met a stranger and liked to talk on the phone with her friends for hours. She also enjoyed reading the local paper and clipping articles she thought would be helpful or informative to others, taking time to always underline the important parts, in red!

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, Mo, with a memorial service to immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bud Everett officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Ozark Baptist Home, Hospice Compassus, those special friends who faithfully visited her from South Side Baptist Church and her Pastor, James Adams.
