Martha Louise Bradshaw, 89 of Springfield, passed away peacefully on October 22. Martha was born July 14, 1926 in Golden City, MO to Mae and Lawrence Martin and was the youngest of three children. Of her siblings, her sister Sara Cromer of San Diego, CA survives her. She is predeceased by her brother Lawrence, Jr.
A lifelong resident of Southwest MO, Martha was a graduate of Golden City High School and Draughon''s Business College, Springfield.
She married Daniel A. Bradshaw of Cave Springs in Springfield on her birthday in 1946. Martha and Dan resided first in Springfield and later in Willard. They reared three sons, all surviving, Steven of Houston, TX; Richard of Richmond, VA; and Philip of Cape Coral, FL. She is predeceased by Dan, who passed in 1983.
In addition to rearing a family, she worked many years for the Missouri Division of Workforce Development as an Employment Specialist. After her retirement in 1991, she remained active in local politics and volunteer work. She loved spending time with her family and traveling with her friends.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Alyson, Emily and Matthew of New York, Elizabeth, Lauren and Nolan of Virginia, Benjamin and Daniel of Missouri; one great-grandchild, Lucca of Virginia and a host of family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Midtown, 1635 N Benton Ave on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 am with visitation at 9:30 am.
