Martha Mary Cordeiro, 100, of Marshfield, MO passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. She was born on Sunday, March 4, 1917 in Fresno, CA to Maria Becker and Edward Schmidt.
Martha loved cats, shopping and giving hugs and gifts to friends and family. She was a member of the Show-Me Walkers, the Red Hat Ladies of Springfield and the Western Teamster Conference. Martha will be greatly missed by her friends at Marshfield Place, where she was proud to be the oldest resident.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tony, her parents, one daughter Mary Lou Cordeiro, four brothers and four sisters.
Martha is survived by her two daughters Yvonne Cordeiro of Nevada, MO and Carol Blackstock (husband George) of Marshfield, MO, three grandchildren Julie Reed (husband Patrick), Debora Dinkins (husband Joshua) and Tony Blackstock (wife Lorelei) of Marshfield, MO, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Klinger-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804. Burial will take place at the Rivermonte Memorial Gardens following services. Memorial donations may be made in her name to C.A.R.E., 1328A W. Sunshine St., Springfield, MO 65807.
