Marlin A. Barcomb, Sr., 80, of Springfield passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014. He was born in Proctor, VT on June 19, 1933 to William and Rose (Matt) Barcomb, Sr.

Marlin loved traveling and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Nixa, MO.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers William Barcomb, Jr. and Robert Barcomb; his wife of 44 years, Bertha (Bea) McCoy-Barcomb and wife of 5 years, Gloria Jackson-Barcomb.

Marlin is survived by his children Marlin A. Barcomb, Jr., Douglas Barcomb, Jeanann Barcomb, Suzy Barcomb; 2 grandsons Matthew Barcomb and Justin Barcomb; many other relatives and friends and his little buddy, Riley.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in honor of Marlin to Aldersgate United Methodist Church 460 W. Aldersgate Dr. Nixa, MO or C.A.R.E. animal rescue 1328 W. Sunshine Springfield, MO.

A visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with a service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
