Obituary

Marie M. Mullican, 91 of Springfield passed away on August 29, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 1920 in Brighton, MO to Mikel and Mary (Kroutil) Francka, and raised by step-father Tom Novak.
She worked as a seamstress at Oberman Manufacturing during the war and at Boeing Aircraft as a "Rosie the Rivetor". She was married to Raymond "Buck" Mullican, was a cook for the Pleasant View, Springfield Public Schools and was a active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Doretta Thurman and husband Don; grandson, Curtis Thurman; granddaughter, Shayla Wright and husband Joe; great-grandson, Braxton; sisters, Blanche Kincaid and Helen Hart; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM with a visitation from 8:30 till 10:00 AM prior to service at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1609 N Summit, Springfield, MO 65802, under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
