Marian H. Claypool, born July 16, 1935, formerly of Willard, passed away September 30, 2022. She was 87. She was born in Foley, MN and moved to San Francisco, CA, with her family when she was 12. At the age of 20, she married the love of her life, Daniel Claypool, and moved to Springfield, MO.

Marian was a home maker for many years before going to work as a cook at Doling Elementary school until she and Dan both retired. She was a wonderful cook and loved providing delicious food and desserts. They built their home near Willard in 1979 and attended the Willard United Methodist Church and later the Ash Grove United Methodist/Presbyterian Church. She currently was a member of Schweitzer Church where she received great support through cards, visits and prayers. She gave her life to the Lord and served Him and the church for many years. When she could no longer do things for people due to her health, she decided she could help others by being a prayer warrior. She faithfully prayed for those in need every day and did not hesitate to share her faith in God. While she is no longer physically with us, we know she is with the Lord and we will be together again.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, son Bill, daughter Betty Ann, sister Joan, brother Joseph and her parents.

Marian is survived by her daughter and son in law Mary Ann and Brian Wood, special friends Susan Cohen, and Janie Wilson as well as many, many friends.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Schweitzer United Methodist Church in Springfield. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM in the church. Burial will follow at Oak grove Cemetery in Walnut Grove
