Margie L. Hilton-Moore, 89, of Springfield, MO passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 after a brief bout with cancer.

Ms. Moore was born Margie Louise Davis in Windy City, MO., Stone County, May 29, 1925. She was the youngest of six children born to Reuben and Elsie (Taylor) Davis.

She married Orion Hilton of Spokane and they had two children, Keith Hilton and Kathy (Hilton) Vilas. Orion died in 1961 and in 1964, Margie married John Moore and they had one child John Moore, Jr.

Margie was an avid country music dancer and frequently danced at many of the senior centers in the Springfield area. Margie was a member of the Glendale Baptist Church and South Haven Baptist Church.

She is survived by her three children and seven grandchildren, Cassi Hilton, Michael Hilton, Kari Nguyen, Karla Mason-Childers, Aaron Mason, Ian Moore and Eric Moore; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend many thanks to the caring staff at Springfield Rehabilitation.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave Springfield, MO with service to take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Rivermonte Chapel. Burial will be in Spokane Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in honor of Margie to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
