Margaret May Spaulding, 80, of Springfield, MO was called to her heavenly home on Monday, January 30th, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on Tuesday, July 28, 1942 in East St. Louis, IL to Cyril E. Bloomer and Bertha Louis Donohue.
Margaret was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL in 1942. She was confirmed at Mt. Calvary in St. Louis, MO in 1956. On September 29th, 1962, she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Byron Dean Spaulding. Together, they built a home filled with love for the Lord and family. Margaret devoted her life to her family. She took pride in supporting her husband and children as a wonderful homemaker. She only worked outside of the home when it worked for her family, including her time helping run the family construction business. Margaret spent her later years keeping up with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She adored her two rescue pups Jazzy & Daisy along with many other four-legged friends over the years. Margaret loved visiting South Padre Island in the winter with a multitude of friends. She had a special way of making everyone she met feel warm & loved.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Carol Manoli, one infant brother, three brothers Jim Donohue, Micheal Donohue and Don Spaulding and one infant great-granddaughter Olivia Ann.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years; children Kevin & Cheryl (Dawson) Spaulding, Keith & Cindy (Cole) Spaulding and Deanna (Spaulding) & Carl Lane; 19 grandchildren Adam & Randi Spaulding, Aaron Spaulding, Mason Frederickson and fiancé Gabbie Caruthers, Andrew Spaulding & fiancé Taylor Long, Kylee Frederickson, Rachelle & Patrick Drake, Nicole & Justin Wisdom, Natalie Spaulding, Justin & Nicole Lane, Wesley & Alexa Lane and Kelsey & Cheyanne Lane; 19 great-grandchildren Bennett, Finley, Jaxson, Colson, Blakely, Evelynn, Cora, Naomi, Nino, Hannah, Kaleb, Kaylee, Joshua, Brandon, Annabelle, Ryder, Kolton, Olivea, Braxten and several other relatives and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1-4 PM at the Legacy Baptist Church,1935 S. Ash St., Buffalo, MO 65622. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Margaret's honor. Online condolences can be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com
