Marcia Kay Adney, age 71 of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home early Sunday morning, March 22, 2020. Her husband of 48 years, John, was by her side. Mrs. Adney was born June 24, 1948 to Paul and Carrie (Reynolds) Cheffey in Springfield. Marcia was a kind caring person who always had a kind word to say about people. She will be forever missed.

Mrs. Adney is survived by her husband, John, a daughter, Lajoni Adney of Springfield, a sister, Debra Adney of Bolivar, Missouri, and brothers Paul Cheffey of St. Charles, Missouri, Richard Cheffey of Nixa, Missouri, and Jim Cheffey of Springfield, Missouri, She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald Cheffey, and a sister Janice Cheffey.

A private graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Clear Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are by Klingner Cope Funeral Home at White Chapel.
