Marcella Morris (Welsh)

Marcie, of Cedar County, MO, passed on August 7th, 2021 in Springfield, MO at the age of 62.  She was born in Springfield to parents Eleanor McMullin (Hutson) and Jesse Welsh.  Marcie was a fun-loving lady, born and raised in Springfield.  She was very active in music at Campbell United Methodist Church and Parkview High School.  She met her first husband, Gary Drennan, while attending Parkview, and they had one son, Jason.  She attended Burge School of Nursing, now Cox College, and practiced psychiatric nursing for over twenty years.  Her passions included music and anything with her three granddaughters Elise, Claire, and Nora.  She also enjoyed floating down the river, fishing, visiting with friends at the Eagles Lodge, and watching her favorite reality TV.  She spent the last sixteen years living in Cedar County with her companion Dewayne Mooney.  She was preceded in death by her second husband, Jim Morris, and her parents.  She is survived by her sister, Debbie Shell, her son, Jason, and his wife Kristin, and three daughters, all of Springfield.  The family has decided to have a private memorial at the home of her son at a future date.
