Mabel Pauline Brooks, 93 of Ozark, was born July 15, 1923 in Forest City, MO to Jess and Minnie (Miller) Guyer. She passed away on November 22, 2016.
She played basketball and sang in the choir while she was in school. She met Thomas Brooks at a local dance hall and they were married one year later in Bigelow, MO in 1942 and they had 5 children together. Pauline ran a licensed daycare out of her home for 15 years so she could stay home and take care of her children as well. She spent her days reading, writing letters and listening to music.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 daughters; 1 grandson and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters; 1 son; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 1 brother and a host of family and friends.
She was a firm believer in God "God wants his words to work. We need to put God back in our country, homes, school and families. He wants his children to come to Him, Jesus will walk with us. His greatest gift is LOVE. God loves you"
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 1-2 pm with services to follow at 2 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield. Internment to follow at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
