Lowell was born October 20, 1926, to Charles and Christy Hamilton. Lowell was the youngest of three children; his sister Ruby Hamilton Graham, was seven years older and his brother, Charles "CJ" Hamilton, was four years older. Lowell grew up with his family on a farm 4 ½ miles northeast of Bates, City, Mo.
Lowell received Christ as his Savior in 1938, and lived true to that calling until his passing. He graduated from the Bates City, Mo., high school in the class of 1945. At the age of 19, Lowell left Missouri and worked at a plywood mill in Washington State. He returned to Missouri in 1951 and worked at a dairy milk carton factory in the Fairfax district. In 1954, Lowell moved to Eureka, Cal., where he worked in a plywood factory and later became responsible for the maintenance of the Eureka School System. In 1960, Lowell was married to Mary D. De Vore of Eureka, Calif. In 1966, the couple moved to Ashland, Ore., where Lowell continued his career in maintenance for the Ashland School System. After some time, Lowell and Mary parted ways and he returned to Missouri and worked for the Kansas City Aviation Department, after. He became a licensed Operating Engineer of Boilers and Chillers in 1976. Lowell retired in 1988 from the City of Kansas City Aviation Department. In 1991, he left Kansas City and moved to Springfield, where he remained until his passing.
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents and siblings and is survived by one sister-in-law, Betty Hamilton, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
