Lovedia Norton left to be with her Father and deceased family on October 15, 2013. She was born on September 26, 1916 to Bessie and Cleve Cardwell in Seymour, MO.
Lovedia and her husband were baptized in the Finley River, she has continued and passed onto her family her faith and sense of humor. She was a very independent lady who resided in her home of 62 years in Springfield until recently when her health declined and she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Nixa.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William Paul Norton; daughter Reba Sue Newlon; grandson Gene Newlon and four brothers.
Lovedia is survived by her daughter Paulett (Ken) Anderson; son Tom (Marilyn) Norton; sisters Nadine Blankenship of Springfield and Rena Bryant, state of Washington; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Wilson and his staff for the compassion and care that they gave to our mom and also Vanessa with Mercy Hospice.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave Springfield, MO with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. and burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.
