Louise Mae Dulin Edge was born August 16, 1920, the second child of Ellis V. and Ollie (Magers) Dulin, following the birth of her twin, Lucille, by a few minutes. She lived her entire life in Springfield, and was a homemaker.
She was married to Kenneth M. Edge for 44 years, and four children were born to them. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; her sisters Lucille Manning, Juanita Mc Neil, Doris Gibb, Betty O''Dell, and Helen Maples; her son Gary; her daughter Becky ; her grandson, George Edge; and great-granddaughter Olivia Edge. She is survived by her brother Robert Dulin, of Millington, TN; son Jack L. Edge (wife-Victoria) and daughter Delores Carr (husband-Rev. S. David Carr), both of Springfield; seven grandchildren: Sarah Smith, Rebecca Edge, David Edge, Lisa Bull, B. David Carr, Ben Edge, and Amy Edge; eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Louise accepted Christ as Savior in her teens, and attended Central Assembly of God for many years, where Kenneth served as a deacon. She currently was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God.
Louise dedicated many years of her life to caring for her special daughter, Becky, until she was no longer able to do so. She lived at Joy Assisted Living for a number of years, then lived with her son Jack for several months, before moving to Sunshine Manor Skilled Nursing in Republic.
She enjoyed flowers, and spent many happy hours in her yard planting, watering, weeding, picking flowers to bring inside to enjoy.
Louise loved everything about Christmas: The Christmas Story, the music, decorating her home, and tree -In fact, she had a 6'' tree that she decorated every year in her small room at Joy Assisted Living. She especially enjoyed baking for Christmas, and preparing a big meal for all her family, and various friends and other extended family who needed a place to celebrate the day with others. Her concern always was that there might not be enough food, but you can be sure, it was not a real issue!!
