Lorene W. Iman, 95, longtime resident of the Springfield area, went to meet her Maker on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Century Pines Assisted Living Facility, Ozark, Mo.

She was born June 2, 1922, to Tom and Virgie (Autenrieth) Young on the family farm near Bluffton, Mo, the fifth of six siblings. Lorene was baptized in June of 1936 in a neighbor's pond. She remained a faithful servant to the Lord for the rest of her days & was a member of Campbell United Methodist Church. She was united in marriage to Joseph W. Iman on March 19, 1943. They spent 69 happy years together until his passing in 2012.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Kay (Tom) Elliott, a son Joe (Kathy) Iman, grandson, Tyler Iman, granddaughters, Shannon Wallner, Eden Elliott, & Britt Jordan, 5 great-grand-children, several nieces & nephews & a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, siblings & an especially beloved grandson, Justin Elliott.

Lorene spent her life as a homemaker, always making sure her husband & family knew how much she loved them. She was an excellent cook, loved to quilt & work in her garden. She always found the time to be actively involved in her family's lives, volunteer in the community or be an advisor about how to live an honest & true life. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the ownership & staff at Century Pines Assisted Living in Ozark for the loving care & compassion they gave to "Grandma Lo" during her time there.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Rivermonte Memorial Garden, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, Mo under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home At Rivermonte. Memorial contributions can be made to Least of These, P.O.
