Lorene Carskaddon, 104, of Springfield, MO passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Maples. She was born on Wednesday, November 21, 1917 in Greene Co., MO to Maggie and Oscar Cook.

Lorene and Carl Samuel Carskaddon were united in marriage on April 14, 1934 and to this union, three children were born. She enjoyed traveling, flowers, feeding the birds, the Mountains, cooking and singing. Lorene loved Jesus, was an avid Christian and attended the Seminole Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter Toni Smith, one great-grandson Nicholas Phillips, three son-in-laws Melvin Marion, Kenny Cantrell and Tony O'Neal, two sisters Delta Cowden and Daisy Cook, one brother Lynard Cook and her partner in crime at the Maples Leota Courtney.

Lorene is survived by her two children Linda Marion and Carolyn Cantrell, 10 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Wade Chapel cemetery, 10501 W. Farm Rd. 174, Republic, MO 65738. Online condolences may be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com
