Gertie Lois Turner, age 84, passed away Tuesday April 18, 2023. She was born April 27, 1938 in Bass, AR to Howard and Posie (Martin) Cook. Lois graduated form Mt. Judea High School at the age of 18. She met Eugene Turner in 1958 and they were married in Miami, OK in 1959.

Lois went to Draughon Business College for two years. She worked for Zenith television factory in Springfield, MO for over 20 years. Lois enjoyed working in the yard, growing a vegetable garden and planting flower beds. Lois was an excellent seamstress. She made some of her own clothes and an occasional quilt. She enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandchildren.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eugene of 34 years; two sisters Fern Bell and Patsy Hamm; and a brother Farris Cook.

Lois is survived by two sons Jeff Turner, his wife Stephanie of Springfield and Rod Turner, his wife Lori of Springfield; three grandchildren Kenny Pierceall, his wife Angela, Shay Young, and Jacob Turner, his wife Stephanie; and seven great-grandchildren Kenna Pierceall, Mason Pierceall, Caden Pierceall, Chase Pierceall, Dayton Highfill, Raeleigh Turner and Turner Young; two sisters-in-law Barbara Wright and Donna Redfern; and one brother-in-law Wayne Hamm; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday April 26, 2023 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.
