Linnea Mae Vainio, 62 of Springfield, Missouri was born on Monday, June 29, 1961 in Seattle, Washington and went to be with Jesus, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from her home in Springfield, Missouri.

She received Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and followed Him her whole life. After high school, she served Healthcare Ministries (Assemblies of God), serving as an IT person. She was particularly good with computer graphic design for publication in promotional materials, etc. Linnea also loved photography, and cats. Linnea loved Jesus most of all and studied the Bible daily. Compassion was her strongest gift. She modeled Jesus' words, "Greater love has no one than to lay her life down for a friend." [paraphrase] That was certainly true of her for people, especially the disadvantage. . . and for pets. Linnea was also noted for her sense of humor, kindness, and pleasant nature.

Linnea is survived by her sister, Shirley Vainio; brother Ed, Vainio; three n ephews, Jim Vainio and family, Nathan Vainio and family, and David Vainio and family. Cousins include, Robin Horchover, Terri Clements and family, Sandy Guzman and family, Jayne Korpi, Tuula Niles, Martha Jakob and family, and Larry Vainio and family.

A  private family celebration of Linnea's life will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri.

While we mourn Linnea's passing, we rejoice that she is in her Heavenly Home along with her parents, Karin and Jorma Vainio; sister, Linda Vainio; grandparents, and many friends.

One of Linnea's favorite Bible passages is Psalm 23. She is now living the last verse of that Psalm: "A last verse of that Psalm: "And I shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever!" Hallelujah!
