Linda (Seward) Baker was born in Springfield, MO. on September 2, 1937, the daughter of Roxie O'Dell Seward and Roger R. Seward. She had valiantly and courageously battled the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis until early in the morning on April 24th, when her earthly life ended.

Linda attended Springfield schools, graduating Salutatorian from Bois D'Arc H.S. in 1955. She graduated from St. John's School of Nursing in 1958. Linda and Robert Baker were married in May 1958. She was a loving mother of Kevin Baker and Jason Baker; proud grandmother of Jennifer Baker and Alexandra Baker; and a sister of Carolyn Green.
